THE PRESSURES OF TESTS AND COURSEWORKS – Tayo

This first term has been a bit stressful; the work load has definitely been a lot than what I’m normally used to. In terms of the tests and course works, they have been alright, I’m assured there is more to come in the spring term which I’m really anxious about. There has been a reasonable amount of time to prepare for our tests, but I have a terrible habit of sometimes preparing late for a test of a subject, I don’t quite enjoy; which is really bad and I’m working on that. There was only one essay given this term in Business Management, the essay is going quite good, I personally enjoy writing, so I’m not finding that difficult, the only thing new to me is referencing in essays, but it’s a gradual process and I’m sure as time goes on; I’ll get better at it.

I’m very sure; next term is going to be a lot harder than the first term, without doubt more of course works and more difficult tests with limited time to prepare. I felt like this term was more of an introduction into the courses and we are going to dig dipper into the courses in the spring term. My suppositions for next term are running quite high, I’m very nervous for the work and I hope it’s not as hard as I think it’s going to be, the relaxing and lounging around must certainly be reduced; as a lot more endeavour must be put in to achieve good results.

The ways which I belief will help me to lighten the load and make life a lot more easier for me in the following spring term is to; properly manage my time, I need to balance my school work and relaxation time equally, in order to avoid or reduce the act of procrastination, a study timetable is also needed and I should use it more regularly, I should also have my own personal notes. Taking personal notes during the lectures and classes helps, it reduces me having to look over the lecture notes all the time during my study time. Lastly, I’m convinced having enough sleep everyday helps for me to be alert during the lectures and classes, it also reduces stress, which helps; when I’m relieved of stress, I surely learn more.
